Abstract: 

Background and Objectives: The idea that the world is facing global emerging trends, technologies, and innovations lead the world to experience an uncertain, complex, and unstable future. Therefore, of the many diverse, controversial, and attractive challenges humankind deal with today, the most intense and critical is understanding the effect of the new technology revolution in various fields, especially in education. Recently, the Covid-19 pandemic and its subsequent quarantines have created a significant technological leap in the modern life landscape, leading to drastic and unexpected changes in education. As Covid-19 is a force to make the transition from face-to-face to online education, this study seeks to investigate whether Distributed ledger technologies can help successfully tackle this new and major challenge. In this light, the researchers of the present study aimed to examine the impacts and implications of these technologies on the education system to see if they would improve the quality of education in the future.Methods: The current study was conducted adopting a qualitative approach to provide in-depth insights and experiences of the participants. The target population of the present research included sixty-three males and females from five groups of people including higher education policymakers, teacher training instructors, information and communication technology specialists, educational technology experts, and future researchers of the educational system recruited through purposive sampling. The required data were collected through different types of interviews and narrative analysis which was conducted through WhatsApp network. The interview was selected since it was practically more convenient than other qualitative research instruments. This instrument, due to its nature, could provide a trustworthy contextualized and deep understanding of the research issue. Narrative analysis was used as the second fruitful instrument due to the centrality and impressive role digital environments play in human life. Since time and space constraints have reduced face-to-face interactions, such a flexible and attractive instrument could provide an interactive and collaborative environment for participants to tell their stories either synchronically or Asynchronically. The process of data collection continued until saturation was reached, based on which 25 interviews were conducted and 38 members participated in narrative inquiry. To analyze the data and for the themes to be extracted, thematic analysis including initial coding, focused coding, and axial coding was conducted.Findings: The results of the data analysis led to the following themes extracted: curriculum diversity, assessing students' academic performance, quality management of learning achievements, recording management of learning outcomes, academic certificate administration, and lifelong learning. Each of the themes represents one of the blockchain implications in future education. The analysis of the interviews and narrative inquiry indicated that Blockchain, due to its specific features such as security, trust, transparency, immutability, privacy, integrity, authentication, robustness, accountability, and decentralization, plays a critical role in transforming future education.Conclusion: The results of the present study can inform policymakers, educators, managers, leaders, practitioners, and all stakeholders of the education system, especially higher education, of the global emerging trends, technologies, innovations, and developments and their effects on future education. Now that the day-to-day penetration of technological advancements coincides with the Corona virus epidemic around the world, it is necessary to apply technologies and take all necessary changes  to recreate the education system in order to take a step towards improving the quality of education. It is hoped that the present study will be a reliable source for further future researches on education.

Abstract: 

In Distributed computing, the uncertainty is the most challenging issue which is caused by the asynchrony of Distributed entities' communication and many other reasons such as geographical scattering of Distributed entities, their mobil-ity, and etc. In this paper, IOTA, a DAG based Distributed ledger technology is used in order to cope with asynchronous communications and uncertainty. Moreover, IOTA private network is chosen to deal with other mentioned problems inside Distributed computing. As a case study, a system is presented which could be implemented inside Tehran Polytechnic university to bring computational power of computers with low resources together in order to solve many problems which can be solved in Distributed computing manner.

Abstract: 

Purpose: The future of the construction industry is increasingly influenced by new technologies. In order to adopt appropriate strategies in facing new technologies, it is necessary to know the possible futures of the construction industry. This research was done with the aim of explaining the technological uncertainties and compiling the future scenarios of the construction industry.  Method: The research method is applied and was carried out with a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. First, the library study was used to determine the technological drivers, then the Structural Analysis was used to explain the technological uncertainties, and finally, the Schwartz method was used to compile the scenarios. The statistical population is experts of construction industry. Findings: Nine technological uncertainties affecting the future of the construction industry have been identified and for each of them, three states of decline, stagnation and progress have been considered. Data analysis by Scenario Wizard shows eight probable scenarios. The portfolio of scenarios including four groups of progress scenarios, towards progress, towards stagnation, and towards wane has been compiled. Conclusion: In the progress scenario, the 89% of uncertainties have developed. In  towards progress, 56% of the factors are in the development status, which indicates the development of the technological factor application. In the stagnation scenario, no progress has been made in the application of uncertainties and they are in a static state. In towards wane, uncertainties have been placed in a situation of reduced use.

SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES (SMES) PLAY AN ESSENTIAL ROLE FOR JOB CREATION, EMPLOYMENT, INVESTMENT, INNOVATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH. DESPITE ITS HUGE POTENTIAL TO SUPPORT ECONOMIC GROWTH, SME LENDING CONTINUED TO FACE CONSTRAINTS ESPECIALLY POST THE 2007 CRISIS. THE PRESENT DEBT-BASED FINANCIAL SYSTEM HINDERS SMES FROM FAIRER ACCESS DUE TO THE PERCEIVED HIGH RISK OF THE SMES. RISK-SHARING FINANCE ON THE OTHER HAND PROMOTES PROACTIVE RISK MANAGEMENT THROUGH THE SHARING OF RISKS IN THE ECONOMY ACCORDING TO THE RISKBEARING ABILITY OF THE PARTICIPANTS. IN MANY WAYS, RISK SHARING FINANCE IS NATURALLY ALIGNED WITH ISLAMIC FINANCE. THE RISK-SHARING MODEL OPERATES ON AN ASSET-DRIVEN BALANCE SHEET MANAGEMENT THEREBY ENSURING THAT THE FINANCIAL SECTOR GROWS IN TANDEM WITH ECONOMIC GROWTH. Abstract: 

The world is now in the throes of a public health crisis caused by the Covid virus, which has affected people in almost every aspect of daily life and left the world economy in a state of uncertainty. Also, the epidemic of the virus in the payment industry and supply chains has caused many changes, so the present study with an interpretive approach has identified the variables of electronic supply chain stability from the perspective of blockchain activists and university professors. The research approach to the applied method is qualitative methodology and the data method of the foundation has been used to conduct research operations. The data of this study were collected using semi-structured interviews. The sampling method used in this study is purposeful sampling and using the theoretical saturation index, 10 prominent university professors and activists in the field of blockchain were interviewed as a research sample. Their attitudes and views on the research topic were examined. Research findings: User relationship flow, service flow, information flow, financial flow, environmental flow affecting the core platform of identifying and managing suppliers, demand management, technology and information management, environmental management as causal and environmental conditions Technological, social environment, economic environment, legal environment as background conditions and political factors, determining international market factors as intervening conditions from the perspective of experts. Finally, policy and planning, infrastructure, awareness and training of appropriate solutions. Which will lead to improved quality of goods and services, improved performance, improved social space, improved financial processes, improved environment.

Abstract: 

At this stage in history, when the world is getting smaller every day due to globalization, it is important to achieve an acceptable degree of trust and confidence in every field,and blockchain may be the link that puts the world on this path. Since there is no central authority governing the blockchain mechanism,the decentralized nature of the blockchain can make it a viable platform for project management. Blockchain implementation eliminates any bureaucratic project management and allows a single, unalterable, controllable, and encrypted single source to be jointly accessible and extensible throughout the project life cycle. This approach is the key to achieving an integrated information system and one of the important reasons why blockchain can be used as an ideal platform for project management and construction. What capabilities blockchain technology has for use in project management has not yet been seriously studied, and changing the management of construction projects through blockchain is now only a hypothesis. This research aims to identify the capacity and contexts of blockchain technology development in project management and construction by using a Scoping review and systematic literature review, providing a Pattern coding, and making suggestions related to the areas of development and improvement. This technology should be presented in this field. The results showed that in all areas of project management and construction, there are applications related to blockchain technology, which confirms the gradual understanding of the importance and positive effect of this technology on improving the performance of project management and construction. According to the results of the main contributions of blockchain studies were focused on «project and programm management», and two fields of human resources and behavioral and research areas in project management and schools of thought with a share of less than 2% of existing studies were neglected.

Abstract: 

In modern power networks, once the restructuring of production units is done, traditional power plants will operate as virtual power plants (VPPs), which are actually a collection of Distributed generation (DG) units and energy storage systems (ESSs) that form an integrated power plant. Commercial VPPs can replace the current traditional power plants in the near future, because they have many advantages such as organizing Distributed energy resources (DER) and hydrogen and electricity storage systems. Considering that energy management and planning of DER resources in VPP have challenging issues, therefore, thoughts such as changes in instantaneous power generation, consumption, energy price and availability of system components should be taken into consideration, so that simulations and future research with problems will not accompanied. Since microgrids have the ability to monitor and control real-time power in power grids, determining the number of DER resources in VPPs is deliberated essential in order to reduce planning costs. For this purpose, in this paper, the optimal sizing of DERs is done using speed particle swarm optimization (SPSO) algorithm. In proposed optimization algorithm, the coefficients c1 and c2 are not constant and is changing according to the number of iterations, which makes the search in the problem solving space more efficient and its convergence is improved by 26% compared to the traditional PSO algorithm. Consequently, the number and sizing of solar photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine (WT), fuel cell (FC), electrolyzer, hydrogen storage and battery resources in a 20-year time horizon will be achieved with the lowest cost.

Abstract: 

Blockchain can reduce bureaucracy and increase the efficiency and performance of administrative processes through a platform possessing features and attributes such as storing and exchanging electronic messages in a decentralized environment and executing high level of security transactions and transparency, if used in government public service delivery. Many scholars believe that this Distributed technology can bring new utilizations to a variety of industries and fields, including finance and banking, economics, supply chain, and authentication and increase economic productivity and efficiency dramatically by transforming many industries in the context of today's economy. The present study, presents the characteristics of the localized blockchain and e-currency conceptual model for the evolution of e-government services. It also examines the impact of the blockchain and e-currency model on the economy and electronic financial transactions as a viable, practical and constructive solution (rather than blocking and filtering of e-currency and blockchain). Ultimately designing a localized block chain and e-currency model, has played an effective role in exploit its high potential to speed up the administrative processes and reduce costs related to electronic transactions and payments in e-government and increase e-government revenues and ultimately it can speed up the customer service delivery and increase their satisfaction with the government.

Abstract: 

Blockchain is a novel and disruptive technology that has the potential to transform the current international business and trade processes that rely on traditional intermediaries. It is a Distributed ledger that verifies and records transactions using a peer-to-peer network over time in a sequence of blocks, secured by cryptographic functions that are complex, immutable and tamper-proof. International maritime trade, which is the main mode of global transportation, expects to change its business model by adopting blockchain, which enables a decentralized architecture of international transactions without intermediaries and facilitates paperless trade. Moreover, blockchain aims to address the problems and inefficiencies that plague maritime trade. However, there are key factors that influence the adoption of blockchain in maritime trade that need to be investigated in order to successfully implement this technology in the future. This study examined the impact of blockchain technology on maritime trade and identified the factors affecting its acceptance in Iranian maritime trade using the research background, literature review and interviews with experts who were PMO managers. These factors were validated by the Delphi method and then categorized and prioritized using the theoretical framework of technology, organization, environment (TOE) and analytical hierarchy process. The results indicated that “blockchain benefits” in the “technology” dimension, “human resource capability” in the “organization” dimension and “government support and policy” in the “environment” dimension were ranked first. These findings could assist the stakeholders in Iran’s maritime trade, such as ports, customs, government agencies, and transportation logistics companies, in developing strategies for the successful adoption and advancement of blockchain and enhancing their organizational competitiveness.

Abstract: 

Plastic hinge properties play a crucial role in predicting the nonlinear response of structural elements. The plastic hinge region of reinforced concrete normal beams has been previously studied experimentally and analytically. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the behavior of the plastic hinge region of reinforced concrete deep beams and its comparison with normal beams through finite element simulation. To do so, ten beams contain six deep beams, and four normal beams, under concentrated and uniformly Distributed loading, are investigated. Lengths in the plastic hinge region involving curvature localization, rebar yielding, and concrete crushing zones are studied. The results indicate that the curvature localization zone is not suitable for the prediction of plastic hinge length in reinforced concrete deep beams. Based on the results it can be stated that in simply supported normal beams the concrete crushing zone is focused on the middle span, but in simply supported deep beams by creating a compression strut between loading place and support, the concrete crushing zone spreads along the compression trajectory. The rebar yielding zone of simply supported beams increases as the loading type is changed from the concentrated load at the middle to the uniformly Distributed load.
